rinse pork butt. place in crock pot. rub hi salt on top of pork and rub liquid smoke on pork. wash luau leaves and cut off stems (discard) place on top of pork & if don’t fit on the sides too. cover pot.
Set on high for 6-7 hrs. test with fork if pork shreds easily its done. on low about 10-12 hrs, i’m guessing. i never did use low heat. this is from cookbook.
