Roast Pork

Ingredients:

  • 3# or 4” or 5# Pork or Pork Shoulder
  • 1Tbsp HI Salt
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (Cut In ½ = 4 Pieces)
  • 1Tbsp Oyster Sauce

  • rinse pork butt. lay in greased 9x13 pan. slit top of pork 4 slits 1 inch deep with knife to put cloves of garlic in. rub hi salt over pork evenly and rub* oyster sauce over pork. * optional cover tightly with aluminum foil. heat oven 350 degrees. cook covered, pork 2hrs 15mins. remove foil and cook 30mins more to give pork a nice burnt color.

    **OPTIONAL: add 2 whole potatoes peeled and 2 large onions peeled and cut in half, with pork butt in pan. remove onions and potatoes after 2hrs 15 mins. put pork back in oven and continue baking uncovered for 30mins until pork is browned. 350 degree oven.

    make gravy. you may sprinkle some garlic salt on potatoes and onions.
